A Biblical View of the Trump Presidency
Updated: Jul 22, 2021

People frequently ask me: "do you support President Trump?" and my answer is always the same. I support some of Trump policies, not his character. I am a Christian and I have always supported conservative policies whether they was instituted by a Republican or Democrat president. I follow Christ and view the world through a biblical lens. Therefore, I look for policies that agree with the doctrines of Christ and I support them, not the candidate or their political affiliation. With that said, I do not force my Christian views on people and I believe the first amendment gives all American citizens the right to choose the religion of their choice and the freedom to exercise their faith.
As it pertains to President Trump, he has made a formal public confession of his faith and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior but like every new born believer, he is still a baby in Christ. Yet, many believe he has said and done too many immoral things to be president of the United States but scriptures reveals that God has used several ungodly
pagan kings to rule over and protect His people. The Bible declares that God is in control of all world kingdoms and nations and He uses those authorities to do His will (Romans 13:1-5).
"Each generation gets caught up in their own problems, but God’s plan embraces all generations. When your great-grandparents lived, God worked personally in the lives of His people. When your great-grand children live, God will still work personally in the lives of His people. He is the only one who sees 100 years from now as clearly as 100 years ago.” [1] From the fall of man in Garden of Eden until this very day, God has used wicked men to do His will. Most notable was Cyrus, King of Persia.
In the movie 300, Xerxes, a descendent of Cyrus, invaded Greece which was led by Leonidas the Spartan king. Most biblical scholars equate Xerxes with Ahasuerus, referenced in the Book of Esther. He was the son of Darius I, the fourth emperor of the Achaemenid Empire (485-465 BC). There is a scene in the movie where sexual immorality and idolatry is depicted as normal behavior in the Persian empire which most historical records attest to. Historians have learned a lot about the Persians from archaeological discoveries and various other writings. These historical records reveal that Xerxes and every king of Persia including Cyrus, participated in immoral practices. Some of those practices even included homosexual acts
and other rituals which were used to worship pagan gods. Biblical and historical records agree that Cyrus was a very wicked king, yet God used him to deliver His people and help them rebuild Jerusalem. Cyrus is called God’s anointed in scripture: “Thus says the LORD to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held. To subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, To open before him the double doors, So that the gates will not be shut” (Isaiah 45:1 NKJV).
Despite the biblical evidence, many in the church today still don’t believe God use men like Trump. Even in Isaiah’s day, the religious leaders hated him for calling Cyrus God’s anointed but Isaiah was obedient and said what God told him to say. He saw God using Cyrus and I see God using Trump. I truly believe the Lord is going to use President Trump to change the Supreme Court of the United States and overturn many immoral policies that have been supported by previous administrations such as late term abortions and the more recent
transgender school bathroom policy. There is a complaint currently filed in a federal civil rights court against an Atlanta area school which implemented Obama transgender bathroom policy. The complaint was file by Pascha Thomas, the mother of a five year old girl who claim her daughter was sexually assaulted by a transgender boy in the elementary school bathroom. This case or one similar to it, will eventually make it’s way to the Supreme Court.

President Obama is adored and viewed by many in America, including people in the church as the greatest president in the history of our nation but these beloved Christians fail to see the dangerous impact his policies will have on our children and our nation. As a matter of fact, his LGBT polices were a direct attack on God and His holy marriage covenant. He even went as far as to light up the White House with the colors of the LGBT movement and shine
the lights towards heaven. A clear attack on God.

When God established a covenant with Noah, He created the rainbow and used it as a sign of His covenant (Genesis 9:13). The LGBT community took the sign of God’s holy covenant and made it a symbol for their sin. This was a deliberate act. As a result, I believe God is going to use President Trump to appoint judges to the Supreme Court that will reverse Obama immoral LGBT policies. Now, I don’t believe abortion or gay marriage will ever be reversed by the court but I do believe God will use the SCOTUS to protect His people from being forced
to participate in unholy wedding ceremonies just as they are currently protected by the court from performing abortions and our Heavenly Father will protect our children from Obama
immoral school bathroom policies just as He protected the children of Israel in Goshen from Pharaoh.
In addition, and more importantly, I see God using Trump to re-establish Jerusalem as the capital of Israel thus fulfilling prophecy and setting the stage for Christ return. Republican and Democrat presidents alike have vowed to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, the Holy City of God. Including Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama but they all failed. President Trump is the only president to actually accomplish this incredible task. This should not be taken lightly and I believe it is a clear demonstration of the power of God in these last days. Such a historical and prophetical move could not be done without our Heavenly Father intervening. Make no mistake about it, God is using President Trump.
